Questions, answered.

How the engagement works, what it costs, and how your drawings stay safe. If something isn't here, the answer is one message away.

WORKING WITH ME
How are you different from a trading company?

A trading company buys and resells — its margin depends on what you don't know. I'm a consultant: you pay for engineering judgment and factory access, transparently. You deal directly with the factory on commercial terms; I make sure the factory is right and the parts are right.

What's the smallest job you take?

One piece. Prototypes and first articles are often where we start, then tens and hundreds as the product proves out. The drawing review and inspection are the same whatever the quantity.

Can I hire you for advice only, without production?

Yes. Drawing and DFM reviews, factory audits and pre-shipment inspections all work as standalone jobs. If the review says your part isn't ready to make, that report is the deliverable — production only starts when you decide.

COMMERCIAL & PRICING
How do you charge?

Three ways, agreed before any work starts: a flat fee for a review or audit, a project price for production, or a monthly retainer if you need me ongoing. Your first part evaluation is free — you only pay once we agree on real work. Production quotes show the factory price and my fee separately — no hidden markups.

Do you handle tariffs and landed cost?

Yes — it's a core part of the service. I plan part composition and Incoterms so US Section 232 and EU anti-dumping exposure are known before you commit, and I can model the full landed cost (EXW → freight → duty → VAT → delivery).

Which markets do you focus on?

Primarily the EU and US. EU compliance (anti-dumping carve-outs, CE, PPWR) is the deepest part of the service, but I work with buyers anywhere — reach out and we'll see if it fits.

TRUST & PROTECTION
Will you sign an NDA? How do you protect my drawings?

Yes — before I see anything confidential. Your drawings only go to shortlisted factories that match your part, and only after you approve each one. No drawing is broadcast; no supplier sees a project they're not competing for.

What do I need to send to get a quote?

A drawing (STEP, DWG or even a PDF with dimensions), target quantity and material preference, and the market you'll sell into. The more you share, the tighter the quote — but a sketch and a quantity is enough to start the conversation.
